Whether you're going on a special date night, attending a stylish wedding or simply want a different look, an updo is a great solution. There are lovely updo hairstyles to suit any occasion and most can be completed in under 10 minutes.

Buns flatter any face shape and these popular updo hairstyles are easy to create. Use a donut to make your bun - if you don't have a donut just cut the toes off an old sock and roll it inside out. Now pull your hair into a ponytail. Slide the donut over the ponytail and pull the ends through. Arrange hair evenly to make a smooth bun, tuck in the ends, and pin into place.

Let's call them A, B, C, D. Take a small piece from the outer edge of section A and thread it over section B and under section C before incorporating the end into section D.
